Nous avons reçu une lettre du président de l'Eglise Evangélique du Congo. C'est un appel au don qu'il lance, au nom de l'église, afin de recueillir des fonds destinés à la construction d'une auberge à Mansimou. Cettre lettre est adressée à tout le monde : les membres de la diaspora à l'étranger, les groupes, les personnes de bonne volonté et les amis de l'EEC.L'Eglise Evangélique du Congo est dépendante des église protestantes de Norvège et de Suède, qui la subventionnent à hauteur de 70% de son budget. En 2015, cette aide cessera. Pour éviter que cela n'entraîne une paralysie financière, le bureau synodal veut bâtir une auberge dont l'exploitation économique permettra d'avoir des ressources utiles au fonctionnement de l'église.
Voilà pourquoi cette initiative a été mise en place. La campagne de collecte des dons a été lancée au sein de la diaspora le 24 Juin 2007 en France.
